The Canadian Kinesiology Alliance proudly announces a partnership with Health Locator

OTTAWA, March 22, 2021  -   The Canadian Kinesiology Alliance / Alliance Canadienne de Kinésiologie (CKA / ACK) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Health Locator, an online professional network for health care professionals.  The CKA / ACK encourages Kinesiologists to sign-up on this free network to increase awareness of their practice and eventually use its booking engine named Patiently. Health Locator will actively work with the CKA / ACK to grow awareness and adoption rates amongst the kinesiology practice.

“It is not the nature of the injuries that pose the problem, it is the lack of practical resources available to the public from others that have successfully completed the recovery journey one is about to commence that pose the greatest threat to a success.” – Health Locator Team, 2016. It is a free search tool designed to help family doctors, hospitals, and members of the public find health professionals in all communities across Canada.

This network is made up of individual healthcare profiles that contain all of the pertinent provider information in one place. From these individual health profiles, the network is organized by the business/clinic, creating a new kind of business/clinic listing model that helps streamline the search, referral and rehabilitation process.

In addition, Health Locator profiles serve as an online resume for the health care professional regardless of where they work. They highlight their education, certifications, continuing education courses, as well as services offered and more. They also provide a direct link to their regulatory body/professional association website and public register, aiding the public in education, transparency and licensing verification.

"Kinesiologists understand that expanding their network will directly contribute to raising awareness of the added value that they can bring to clients in their a recovery process, says Kathie Sharkey R.Kin, President of the Canadian Alliance for Kinesiology, so we stay tuned for the latest and most innovative tools to provide our clients with the most innovative care to continue to exercise effectively and efficiently. "
