New Branding - Creating a consistent Kinesiology story to tell

The CKA/ACK has achieved another milestone – we’ve established a National Marketing Plan & New Brand in accordance with its #KinVision2022 Strategic Plan. The CKA / ACK and UpHouse Inc., from Manitoba, created a new brand for Kinesiology and a marketing plan for 2018-2019.

The New Brand will be launched in the 2018 National Kinesiology Week material and featured in the new Kin self-marketing kits to be revealed with the 2019 Membership Renewals. The CKA/ACK will provide new branding material for Kins to use: i.e. business cards, KinWordMark, etc.

UpHouse Inc helped CKA/ACK to find an identity through branding and marketing. Today, brands can shape a customer’s identity and build communities around a shared passion. The marketers who do this well can make their brand stand out in its service category.

So, is Kinesiology a field of practice or a brand? It can be both. When Canadians hear or see the word “Kinesiology,” we want them to understand what it is, who it’s for and how it differs from other health professions in Canada. To help people understand Kinesiology, to help guide its development and focus our marketing efforts, we have created a consistent Kinesiology story to tell:

Kinesiologists are to people the human movement specialists that use science and research to offer movement as medicine to any person with a health or fitness goal, in Canada, who wants a hands-on, personalized approach, in an era where many practitioners spend less time with each patient and machines are performing more of the treatments.

Kinesiologists connect with people to give more Canadians the opportunity to live a better life through movement: a shared passion for bringing a proactive, integrated and supportive approach to health in Canada.

Kinesiologists appeal to people as an alternative to pharmaceuticals, Are covered by insurance (some workplaces), Has a degree and is as highly-qualified as other health practitioners, Works with any age, size, gender, background, ability, Works with me in my space, Take the time to educate me, Teaches me how to maintain my health on my own after the program is complete.

Kinesiologists reach the hearts of people as they Take time to understands my circumstances and goals, Supports & encourages me , Sees my potential, Believes in my ability to restore my life or reach my next level of performance, Takes a big-picture approach to my health

CKA/ACK invites Kinesiologist to use these phrases in promoting their services.
